SocialVolt Announces Matthew Kirk as Chief Scientist

Enterprise Social Media Management Company Hires Innovative Software Engineer to Head Product Development

OVERLAND PARK, KS, February 1, 2012—SocialVolt, an enterprise social media management provider, today announced the recent appointment of Matthew Kirk as chief scientist.

Kirk is an expert software architect and engineer with a strong background in technology innovation and development. In his role as chief scientist, Kirk will lead the team in the technical development of the SocialVolt platform.

Prior to joining SocialVolt, Kirk held a software engineering position at Wetpaint. In this role, he served as the company's Ruby on Rails expert and lead the development of a social distribution system which elevated Wetpaint to the number three position in Facebook traffic among the top 50 media companies. Kirk also previously held a research analyst position at Parametric Portfolio Associates, where he helped to build CrossVol by Parametric, a financial volatility index.
